MedFolio was designed by a pharmacist who spent countless hours in "brown bag" medication sessions with patients of all ages. MedFolio addresses the needs of patients, caregivers, and their healthcare providers. MedFolio was uniquely designed to simplify medication adherence. The device can be easily transported and its individual pill storage boxes can be detached from the device for convenience on the go. The built-in pill identification system offers a portfolio of every medication stored in the device, giving the patient/caregiver the ability to knowledgeably engage in medication discussions with healthcare providers. To help patients remember to take the right dose at the right time, advanced medication reminder systems have been incorporated into MedFolio. The MedFolio device connects to a computer by USB. Included software allows you to easily customize the device for specific medication regimens and dosing times. Medication information stored into MedFolio's memory initiates audio alerts and visual lighting reminders. Additionally, the software program communicates with a secure website to offer optional electronic reminders (e-mail and text message - requires subscription) for each scheduled medication dosing time. MedFolio Carrying Case: A carrying case is included with each MedFolio device. It is a fashionable, briefcase-style carrying case to easily transport your MedFolio medication management device. The main compartment includes a large area to store your MedFolio, with suitcase-style straps to hold the device in place. An inside pocket can be used to store paperwork, prescriptions, or other medications that are not stored in the MedFolio device, such as inhalers, insulin syringes, and eye drops. An outer front pouch provides extra storage space for accessories, such as the USB cable and AC adapter.
